(RWOFCD)
Rural Women Foundation for Community Development (RWOFCD) is a community-based, not-for-profit making organization established in 2016 operating in the rural communities of Kasese-Rwenzori region. RWOFCD works with women, adolescent girls and other vulnerable populations to address the persistent challenges of ultra-poverty, poor health and social injustice through sustainable organic agriculture, skills development, education support and reproductive health rights and autonomy. RWOFCD champions local change actors by transforming tested knowledge and skills into practical actions in empowering women, girls, and youth to build resilient livelihoods, restore ecosystems and claim their rights and autonomy. RWOFCD promotes permaculture and regenerative agriculture to improve soil health, strengthen agroecology, and enhance food security and household incomes. Through hands-on life skills training, we equip youth with knowledge and tools for self-reliance, innovation, entrepreneurship and meaningful employment. RWOFCD also advance reproductive health rights by providing adolescent girls and women with accurate information and skills to make informed, healthy choices, while supporting learners with scholastic materials and scholarships. These community-led innovative approaches drive long-term sustainability that strengthens resilience, promotes gender equality, and fosters inclusive and fosters inclusive development.
